Add Your Assets Create asset records with serial numbers, purchase prices, and photos. 9 pre-loaded categories: Laptop, Phone, Vehicle, Uniform, Access Card, Tablet, Tools, Furniture, Other.

Assign to Employee Click Assign, select the employee, set handover date and condition. Optionally print the signed handover receipt immediately from the same screen.

Installation & Usage

Installation

Add to AddonsCopy odnt_hr_asset_tracker to your custom addons directory.

Restart ServerRestart your Odoo server to register the new module.

Enable Developer ModeSettings → General Settings → Activate Developer Mode.

Install ModuleApps → Update Apps List → Search Asset Tracker → Install.
Usage
  • Open the new Asset Tracker top-level menu after installation
  • Go to Configuration → Asset Categories to review pre-loaded categories
  • Create assets under Assets → All Assets with full details
  • Click Assign to Employee on any available asset to start tracking
  • View all assets on the employee form under the Assigned Assets tab
  • Go to Reports → Export to XLS for the advanced Excel workbook
  • Check Assets → ⚠ Overdue Returns regularly for pending actions
